***Please note, you must have attended the Part 1 of Lynne Cook's session either at the 2025 WSSWA Fall Conference or the webinar that was held on February 24th to attend this session***
This presentation will expand upon the initial related session. Participants will hear case examples and watch videos of questioning strategies. After each video, participants will be able to discuss concerns and challenges within the case scenarios to integrate what they have learned.
1) Participants will be able to observe techniques discussed in Part 1 of the presentation.
2) Participants will be able to discuss and strategize around challenges in gathering information through specific case scenarios.
3) Participants will be able to integrate techniques learned and strategize next steps to improve reposes to child maltreatment concerns within their own communities.

About the Presenter:
Lynn Cook, MSW, CAPSW received her MSW and Certificate in Trauma Counseling at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 2008. Lynn is the Children’s Justice Act Program and Policy Analyst with the Department of Justice, Office of Crime Victim Services where she is responsible for implementing statewide initiatives that improve the investigation, prosecution, and judicial handling of child abuse. Prior to this position, Lynn worked as a Forensic Interviewer at the Milwaukee Child Advocacy Center of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. She began her work in that capacity in July of 2015 and has conducted well over 2,300 forensic interviews of children and teens who have experienced or witnessed violence and child maltreatment. She continues to conduct forensic interviews at Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center in Madison.
In addition to her role as a contributor to the Wisconsin Forensic Interview Guidelines curriculum and faculty member for statewide training, Lynn conducts many other statewide and national trainings in areas specific to child abuse dynamics. She is often called to testify as an expert witness in criminal trials in Milwaukee County and across the state.
Prior to her work with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Lynn worked for over seven years as a Sensitive Crimes Victim Advocate in the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. There she worked on hundreds of child sexual abuse from charging through sentencing. She has also worked in the areas of child welfare and primary prevention education, and has instructed a course at University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee on Criminal Violence.

- To pay by school/organization check or credit card, select “BYPASS PAYMENT.” A receipt will be sent to you, which can be forwarded to your payee. There is a link at the bottom of the receipt that says “Click here to pay” to allow for credit card payments. You will need to forward this email to your business services office for processing and payment.
